You don't have to settle for the current size of the text when viewing Microsoft Help files. Sometimes the default is just fine, but sometimes I find myself squinting to try to make out what it says (and my prescription's just not that old). The Help files actually use Internet Explorer to display the text, believe it or not. So in order to adjust the text size for reading help files, all you have to do is adjust the text size in IE. Of course, this will mean that many web sites view quite differently, so you may have to experiment to find a setting you can live with (or change the setting when you are done reading the Help file).
To do this, open Internet Explorer, click on the View menu, hold your mouse cursor over the menu item "Text Size," and choose the appropriate size (Largest to Smallest). This change will apply to the Help file the next time you open it, so if you don't see an immediate change, close the Help file and re-open it. |
