After all, considering the recent vulnerabilities discovered in the Godzilla browsers, you may be tempted to soften a bit towards the Microsoft IE. And promising words are coming from Redmond: the upcoming Internet Explorer 7.0 browser upgrade will ship with reduced privilege mode turned on by default to help thwart browser-based hacking attacks.

One of the feature that caught my attention on the spot was the way files will be executed and of course the new anti-spoofing and anti-phishing technology that presumably will let users identify fake scam Web sites.
And good news from the spyware protection that will be integrated thru the current beta Windows AntiSpyware (although in beta only, it has been reported as the highest download)!

I have only heard good things about the Microsoft AntiSpyware that qualifies it as a major future player in the arena. What better tool to prevent spyware on a Microsoft box than a Microsoft tool! What is still missing is the central admin and management capability for large enterprises, which I am sure it is being worked on.

Overall, it looks like Microsoft is following its newest path to release products with features turned off by default, lowering this way any possibilities of destabilizing the system.
