1. Click on the Apple menu and select Control Panels.
2. Click on the General Controls control panel.
3. Click on the check box for Protect System Folder, Protect Applications Folder, or both.
4. Close the control panel. Until you turn this protection off, you will be unable to add to or remove files from these folders.
