Click one of the category buttons at the top of the Mac Launcher to change the program or document buttons displayed. The Launcher comes with a few categories, but you can change their names or make your own.
Steps: 1. Place the Launcher control panel into the Control Panels folder (if it isn't already there).
2. Make sure that the Launcher is checked in the Extensions Manager control panel.
3. Double-click to open your System Folder.
4. Locate the Launcher Items folder and double-click to open it.
5. For each new category you want, create new folders within the Launcher Items folder. Name the folders as you wish.
6. Drag documents, folders, or programs (or better, their aliases) into each new folder.
7. Add a dot, or bullet, to the beginning of each folder name. Create the dot by pressing Option-8.
8. Open the Launcher to see your new category buttons.
9. Click on a category button to see the folders and files you placed inside (as buttons). A single click will launch any of them. |
