| Windows XP, by default, has Menus and Tool Tips fading in and out. However, you can quite easily change this so that they scroll in and out, as you are probably more familiar with older versions of Windows. Simply right-click the Desktop, and choose Properties. In the Display Properties window that appears, click the Appearance tab, and the Effects... button. From the drop-down box under "Use the following transition effect for Menus and Tooltips" choose either the Fade Effect or the Scroll Effect. Click OK and OK to make the change permanent. |
