| When using Windows Explorer (or My Computer), you can learn mucho information about the objects that you are viewing my turning on the Status Bar. Simply click the View Menu, then choose Status Bar next time you have Explorer open. This will add a gray bar along the bottom of the window. Now, if you click a volume (like the C drive), you will see information in the Status Bar, such as how much free space is left. If you click a file, the Status Bar will display the file type, and the actual file size. If you select multiple files (by using ctrl-click, or shift-click), the Status Bar will display how many files are selected, and what the total of their file sizes is. |
