IBM has erroneously identified New Zealand as the world's second largest source of worm, virus, phishing and hacking attacks during the first half of the year.
The claim was made in its Global Business Security Index Report, a regular report the company produces on internet threats.
IBM said in a statement issued in Armonk, New York that during the first half of the year 12 million such internet attacks were launched from the US, 1.2 million from New Zealand and one million from China.
