Internet telephony provider Engin is conducting a full-scale review of its programming processes after one of its users posted details on how to access customer data through flaws in the company's customer relationship management (CRM) software. Engin says it fixed the flaw before anyone could exploit it and will make sure to fully test the security of any new servers before putting them online. The user who discovered the flaw, Tim Malone, says a hacker only had to change an order number in a web address to access someone else's account and divert phone numbers. Engin says that while hackers could have accessed names and address, no credit card information was compromised.
