Personal information on airline passengers was used in violation of federal privacy laws during testing of the government's Secure Flight airline safety program in late 2004, according to the U.S. Government Accountability Office.
In a 10-page letter to Congress on Friday, Cathleen A. Berrick, the GAO's director of homeland security Issues, and Linda D. Koontz, director of information management issues, outlined the findings of their review.
